About Seville

 

Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It is the capital of Andalusia and of the province of Seville. It is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir.

This tour is designed to be as user friendly as possible.  Only a minimal knowledge about how to use a Pocket PC or GPS receiver is necessary.

  • Each screen provides instructions to guide you through its use.
  • For GPS-enabled devices, each screen will show you where you are located on a map and a path to follow to each point of interest.
  • When you get close to a Point of Interest, you just click on its symbol and the multimedia experience begins including text, photos and audio.

Use the interactive demo to see how our multimedia GPS-enabled tours work. The Click on the PDA to the left, then click the English language flag towards the bottom. Click the "Walking tours" icon to see the Seville walking tours. Choose one of the six tours and then click "Let's go" on the lower right of the next page. You will see detailed information including a preview of the tour. You can even search for individual monuments. Along each walking tour, you will find:

  • A selection of points of interest (POI) with written and spoken commentaries
  • Photos of each point of interest to preview before your walk
  • A selection of restaurants fitting the atmosphere of the walk
  • A selection of restaurants, bars and clubs is provided for each night walk

Minimum Device Requirements: These tours are designed to work on Windows Mobile Pocket PC or a Smartphone (touch screen) devices with Windows Mobile operating system versions 2002 to 6.1, also:

  • Processor speed of at least 300 MHz
  • RAM memory of at least 64 Mb
  • Minimum 256 Mb memory card
  • The device must have Macromedia Flash Player 7 installed. You can download for free from here: Macromedia Flash Player 7 

If your Pocket PC or SmartPhone is not GPS enabled, you can still use these tours simply by selecting the “no GPS” option. 

Installation Instructions: Once your guide is downloaded to your computer, you need to:

  • Make sure Flash Player for Pocket PC has been properly installed onto your Windows Mobile device
  • Connect your Pocket PC or Smartphone to your computer with ACTIVSYNC and run the program you have downloaded. Then follow the instructions. Once the installation completed, you will find a Digi-Guide icon in the "Programs" directory of your device.
