Boston – Beacon Hill Tour

Tour Description: Beacon Hill is one of the most beautiful, famous and historically significant neighborhoods in America. This tour contains none of the annoying advertising or bias found on free downloads. Narrow cobbled stone streets, gas lanterns, carefully tended window boxes and, of course, beautiful and expensive old homes make this a very special part of town. It is also an area with an almost unequalled importance in African American history. Learn the history of how Frederick Douglass and others worked to end slavery. Several of the homes were stops along the Underground Railroad. With this walking tour of Beacon Hill you will experience both sides of its heritage. The tour begins at the corner of Park and Tremont Streets near the Park Street subway station. There are abbreviated stops at Park Street Church and the Old Granary Burial Grounds prior to beginning our walk to the State House, Boston Public Gardrens and the homes of Beacon Hill.
